If it's not politically correct, it has to be Ted Nugent.

The League of United Latin American Citizens is organizing a national boycott of rock star Nugent over remarks he made about Latinos during concerts last week in Houston and San Antonio.

While performing as the opening act for Kiss on April 1 in Houston, Nugent was critical of Latinos who can't speak English, telling them in a profanity-laced tirade to leave the United States and return to their native countries.

"We're not objecting to his right to free speech," said Charles Flores, director of the LULAC office in Houston. "The way it was said, we feel it was directed in hatred at Hispanics. I'm sure he could have worded it better."

Nugent remains unapologetic. "How can you be a benefit to your family, neighborhood or country if you can't speak to your fellow citizens? C'mon, if you can't speak English, get out of America," Nugent said.

The boycott by the LULAC comes on top of the unofficial boycott of Nugent's records that the American music-buying public has had in effect since his Damn Yankees days.

In an unrelated story, a buffalo who wished to remain anonymous noted, "If you think he's insensitive to immigrants, you should see the arrow in my ass."
