MUSIC ROUND-UP:
THIS IS TOOTH-PULLING

Eminem Busted, Tonos Artist Breaking,
Spinal Tap Bulges, Prince Back
Top-selling rap star Eminem was arrested outside a bar in his suburban Detroit hometown. Police say the expected charge is either carrying a concealed weapon or disorderly conduct. The 27-year-old musician, whose legal name is Marshall Mathers, was one of four people arrested early Sunday in the parking lot of the Hot Rocks Cafe. The arrests followed a disturbance that erupted when the crowd recognized Eminem. Police booked two men on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon, and a man and a woman on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Authorities would not say Sunday what charge Eminem faces. Cops were heard asking those detained for "The Real Slim Shady" to please stand up to get fingerprinted. In a related story, NSYNC this week tried to regain the top chart position by starting a slap-fight at Disney World… Online venture Tonos.com has inked a deal with Atlantic Records to place a track by the site's first artist discovery on an upcoming soundtrack. 12-year-old singer Alysha Antonino will perform "Dreams" on the Warner Bros. soundtrack to "Pokemon: The Movie 2000." Antonino won the first Tonos contest for singers, voted the best out of several hundred singers. Tonos, which was co-founded by Babyface, Carol Bayer Sager and david foster',390,400);">david foster',390,400);">David Foster, is negotiating with Atlantic and other labels for a potential record contract for the young artist, says Tonos CEO Matt Farber. "This is really neat," the young diva enthused. "Now where's my friggin' Pellegrino, and why is my %$&%# salad overdressed?"… Everyone's favorite mockumentary, "This Is Spinal Tap," will once again turn it up to eleven. MGM and France's Studio Canal said Friday they will re-release the 1984 film, which follows a fictional hard-rock band's attempted comeback, and will promote it with an 11-city tour of major market cities. This will coincide with a simultaneous relaunch of the film on video and a new DVD with 30 hours of original footage that was discovered beneath Derek Smalls' ill-fated earthworm farm. Action figures, a book, a re-release of the original soundtrack and an overseas tour of the movie backed by the band are all slated. No word who will occupy the hazardous drummer's seat… The artist once again known as Prince is holding a weeklong party to celebrate his name change. The festivities kick off on Wednesday (6/7) at his Paisley Park studio in Chanhassen, and he will perform June 13 in Minneapolis. In addition, His Purpleness will soon make it easier for producers and artists to sample his music in their recordings. He is planning to release a seven-CD box set of loopable material. The recordings will sell as a set, which can be sampled for a one-time fee of $700. By selling the product this way, producers can sample from Prince's recordings without having to pay royalties or get sued for copyright infringement. The CD will be available for sale through Prince's Web site, www.1800newfunk.com, or by calling 1-800-NEWFUNK. No word if Prince will also be selling samples of his wardrobe for those under 5'2" who are fed up with stores that don't carry their sizes…
