MP3.COM TEAMS WITH LOOKSMART

Nothing can stop MP3.com.
On the heels of losing a controversial summary judgment to the Recording Industry Association of America and being found guilty of copyright infringement, MP3.com has become the exclusive provider of MP3 content for LookSmart's new center.
Under the agreement, LookSmart, a search engine, will distribute integrated links to the My.MP3.com service and MP3.com music on its Web properties and via a network of partner sites.
"Now that we have developed a compelling set of MSP products and services, we are systematically and aggressively partnering with top media companies and hardware, software and device manufacturers to bring music and digital music tools to the masses," said michael robertson',390,400);">michael robertson',390,400);">Michael Robertson, chairman and CEO of MP3.com.
Robertson said that LookSmart brings My.MP3.com functionality to 74% of U.S. Internet users.
In addition, he said MP3.com will officially rollout the Classical Music Channel today (Tuesday), which lets classical fans get access to a comprehensive classical library of about 400 high-quality albums for just $9.99 a month.
