Although a final lineup has yet to be firmed up, MTV.com reports 311, System Of A Down, Pennywise, Redman and Erick Sermon, Dead Prez, Xzibit, Gang Starr, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Dilated Peoples, TapRoot, SX-10 and the Freestyle Fellowship are among the performers onboard for the 14-hour event. DJ Swamp, DJ Z-Trip, Tony Touch and the Funky Tekno Tribe will also be spinning during the Smoke Out. A secret guest will take the stage at 4:20 p.m., which is a time of special meaning to pot smokers.
This year's festival will take place October 7 at the National Orange Show Events Center in San
Bernardino, CA. The Smoke Out had originally been slated for the HITS food court, but employees felt the show would be disruptive to their wake and bake habits.
Tickets will go on sale Sept. 1 at—of course—4:20 p.m. (PT). For more information, check out the official Smoke Out 2000 Web site.
