Ex-BMG Music President/CEO Elliot Goldman has been named Chief Operating Officer and Director at online marketing company CDBeat.com.
Said Goldman: "I am thrilled to join CDBeat as Chief Operating Officer. I am a big believer in CDBeat's software and its capabilities. And just as soon as I figure out how to turn on my computer, I'll found out what they are."
Goldman's career in the music business spans three decades and encompasses executive posts at BMG Music, Warner Communications, Inc., CBS Records and Arista Records. For the last ten years, he has been President of a consulting firm specializing in the music industry. He was also Sr. VP of Warner Communications, Executive VP/GM of Arista Records, Administrative VP at CBS Records and co-author of the book "Hit Men" with Dick Asher and Fred Dannen.
CDBeat.com also announced Marty Marion had joined the company as Chief Strategic Officer and a member of its Advisory Board along with fellow new appointee Ralph Sorrrentino.
