CLAY RESHAPED

Clear Channel's Hunnicutt Now EVP/GM Nat'l Programming; Mitchem, Jeffries, Hardin, Romano Expand Duties
Clear Channel has upped Clay Hunnicutt to the post of EVP/GM of National Programming Platforms; he'll report to President of National Programming Platforms Tom Poleman in the firm's New York offices.

In the new post, Hunnicutt will join Poleman in overseeing on-air and digital content, working with programming heads to emphasize the connection between CC's 850 loal stations and national assets like iHeartRadio's Music Festival, Ultimate Pool Party, Country Festival and Jingle Ball Tour; he'll also manage a team of programmers focused on sales integration with station programming, as well as the Programming Operations Center and the Premium Choice network to ensure seamless content integration.

Most recently EVP Programming for the company's biggest markets, he'll continue as Brand Manager for all Country stations. He began his career at US-101 Chattanooga.

Poleman praised Hunnicutt's "unmatched connection with our local markets and knows how to link our national capabilities to our local assets," adding that the veteran exec helpfully adds "y'alls" to Poleman's memos regarding Country formats.

In other CC news, Thea Mitchem has been promoted to SVP Programming for NYC, Philly and DC/Baltimore; Andrew Jeffries has been upped to SVP of Programming for L.A., San Francisco and San Diego; Brad Hardin has been appointed EVP of Programming, with Houston and Dallas now also on his plate; and EVP of Programming Gene Romano will also now oversee the Chicago market.
