The Def Jam posse look like they on in awe as if they've just witnessed a monster slam dunk.
A cavalcade of stars brought their indelible rhymes and visceral beats to the stage of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center Thursday night for the Def Jam Recordings 30th Anniversary Concert, cramming three decades of hip-hop history into four hours, and blowing the roof off the arena on Atlantic Ave. MC’d by DJ Kid Capri, the celebration featured performances from the likes of Warren G, Onyx, Foxy Brown (who grew up just a few blocks away), Keith Murray, Redman & Method Man, EPMD (with Erick Sermon), Ja Rule and Ashanti, Big Sean, Fabolous, DMX, 2 Chainz and closing headliner Rick Ross (who brought out "affiliates" Stalley and French Montana). Here’s a visual memento of Def Jam’s big night, photographed by the label’s Meredith Truax.
