“Dominic brings decades of experience to his new position, and under his leadership, Caroline will be a vital component of the Capitol Music Group.”
——Michelle Jubelirer

DOM & CAROLINE ENTER INTO
LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP

EMI Veteran Will Oversee the Independent Services division of Capitol Music Group
Dominic Pandiscia has been named President of Caroline, it was announced today by CMG EVP Michelle Jubelirer, to whom he'll report. In his new post, Pandiscia is charged with building on the legacy of Caroline Distribution and EMI Label Services on a worldwide basis. His responsibilities include marketing, promotion, commercial development, branding, synch & licensing, lifestyle marketing, business affairs and finance. He’ll be based in New York.

Among the key members of Pandiscia’s team are Mike Harris, who’s staying on as EVP/GM, and promotion head Dave Barbis, who delivered Alterbridge and Slash their first-ever #1 Active Rock singles and quarterbacked the M83 plan.

“With Dominic’s promotion to President and our renewed investment of resources in the expanded Caroline, we are committing to building partnerships with independent artists and labels, and providing them with the a la carte services they need to achieve their goals and expand their businesses,” Jubelirer stated. “Dominic brings decades of experience to his new position, and under his leadership, Caroline will be a vital component of the Capitol Music Group.”

Said Barnett, “Dominic is a highly skilled executive whose leadership will be instrumental in the growth of Caroline, and integral to the overall success of the Capitol Music Group. I congratulate him on this well-deserved promotion.”

Added Pandiscia, “Making the move to Caroline is extremely exciting to me, and I thank Steve and Michelle for this great opportunity. We have created a music-focused company that is tailor-made to super-serve the promotional, commercial and marketing needs of the independent artist and label. I look forward to providing best-in-class services to help nurture, support, and partner with the independent community”.

Pandiscia was previously EVP Commercial & Revenue Development for EMI Music, overseeing the company’s sales, distribution and commercial strategy teams for North America. He was also responsible for management of the company’s various new revenue streams.

Pandiscia was instrumental in leading the commercial team that worked with Apple Corps to secure the deal that brought The Beatles to iTunes in 2010. Two years earlier, he launched EMI Label Services, the global platform for Caroline Distribution. The division more than doubled its U.S. marketshare from 2007 to 2010.

After joining EMI in 1989, Pandiscia served in a number of senior-level sales and commercial roles, including SVP Sales for CMG and Head of Sales for Virgin Records in the U.S. He also held a variety of roles at EMI Records and CEMA Distribution in the U.S.
