ARTPOP ON TOP!

Lady Gaga Rules the HITS Album Sales Chart; NOW, Beatles, Jhene Aiko Bow Top 10

Rejoice, Little Monsters: Your goddess is #1.

Interscope’s Lady Gaga tops the HITS Album Sales Chart this week with 260k. The release marks the second #1 in a row for the label; last week’s champ, Eminem, took #2 in his second week with 208k (-73%); he’ll hit the million mark imminently.

Also debuting in the Top 10: UMe’s NOW 48 (33, 116k), The Beatles’ second BBC set on Capitol (#7, 37k) and Def Jam/IDJ’s Jhene Aiko (#8, 33k).

That holiday feeling—the same one that makes us want to stop in the middle of this sentence and binge on eggnog, preferably in a fetal position—drives continued action on EMI Nashville’s Duck the Halls (or, as we like to call it, Dungan Dynasty, #4, 65k, -13%) and Wrapped in Red by RCA’s Kelly Clarkson (#6, 41k, -3%), as well as titles farther down the chart.

Capitol’s Katy Perry (#5, 46k, -25%), YM/CM/Republic’s Drake (#9, 33k, -12%) and Lava/Republic’s Lorde (#10, 32k, -7%) also grace the Top 10.

The week’s greatest gainer: Nettwerk/Warner Bros.Passenger, which vaults from 50-31 (+38%).

Streeting at presstime are Prospect Park’s Five Finger Death Punch, RCA/Republic’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack and RCA’s Daughtry, not to mention Capitol’s Frank Sinatra. Coming on 11/25: SYCO/Columbia’s One Direction, while RCA’s Britney Spears comes on 12/3.

Now pour us a goddamn glass of holiday cheer already.
