Join Our Buzzing Round-Up
This week, Capitol’s Tori Kelly and Def Jam/IDJ’s August Alsina join our Vibe-Raters round-up of buzzing artists.

Pop thrush Kelly’s viral online success has helped fuel a Top 15 retail bow for her Foreword EP, while single "Dear No One" earned Single of the Week honors at iTunes. Her full-length is slated for Q1.

The 600k subscribers to her YouTube channel have generated more than 50 million views, and are counting the days until the unveiling of the official video for "Dear No One," which is now in post.

She’ll continue her string of national headlining dates through 11/23, including Ed Sheeran’s Madison Square Garden show on 11/1. Kelly’s busy TV calendar has included appearances on The Today Show in September and Ellen on 10/25; she’ll do a Queen Latifah spot in December.

New Orleans rapper August Alsina has a multi-format smash with single "I Love This Shit", which is #2 at Urban, Top 15 at Rhythmic and breaking at Urban AC. The track appears on EP Downtown: Life Under the Gun, which has been out and selling since Aug.

With more than 9 million VEVO views as well as MTV and other video-network love, the song’s clip proves audiences love this shit too. Alsina's YouTube channel, meanwhile, has scared up more than 7 million views.

Alsina’s further upped his profile with a 106 & Park appearance, not to mention an E! News feature and coverage in XXL, Complex and Rap Radar.

In other Vibe news, Lorde keeps the top spot, while Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Passenger, Kacey Musgraves and A Great Big World are among the upward movers. Check out the whole batch here.
