RADIO CHART PREVIEW

Three Formats, a Bunch of Songs and All the Love in the World
Hey, buddy! Let's talk radio action. Below we survey the progress of some major tracks on the Mediabase Top 40, Alternative and Rhythmic charts. But before we do, enjoy the following series of classic promo exclamations. Smash! Monster! Stick a fork in it! Goodnight, nurse! When'd you get in? When you leavin'? Who's your guy?

TOP 40
Jason Derulo
's "The Other Side" (Warner Bros.) will enter the Top 5 this week. The twerk-tastic Miley Cyrus hit "We Can't Stop" will have another impressive 1k spin week increase; her RCA labelmate Justin Timberlake's latest, "Take Back The Night," will have a big jump to #22. RCA's persistence, meanwhile, has paid off for Labrinth f/Emeli Sande "Beneath Your Beautiful," which will re-enter the chart this week.

The Jonas Brothers (Jonas Enterprises) debut on the chart with "First Time," following a big Clear Channel/iHeart-backed video premiere. Big Machine/Republic's Taylor Swift will enter the chart with "Everything Has Changed" featuring Ed Sheeran. It's also possible we'll see debuts from Bonnie McKee's "American Girl"(Epic) and the big PoMo hit "Sweater Weather" from The Neighbourhood (Columbia).

ALTERNATIVE
As we head into the weekend it looks like The Neighbourhood will hold onto the #1 spot for one more week. But we wouldn't be surprised to see Capital Cities (Capitol) grab the ring, as the spin differential between these records is just 36x--with all of today and tomorrow left to decide the winner.

Lorde (Lava/Republic) continues her march to the top with "Royals"; we'll see another impressive 200x week increase as the track surges to #7 on the charts. Monkeywrench/Republic's PoMo icons Pearl Jam will zoom into the top 15 with their hit "Mind Your Manners." Tame Impala (Modular/Interscope) continues to impress, as "Elephant" will move to #13 at least. Capitol's Bastille is red hot at #18 with "Pompeii." Franz Ferdinand's latest, "Right Action" (Domino), will quickly enter the top 30, and just after a few days, Kings Of Leon (RCA) should have a nice debut with "Super Soaker."

RHYTHMIC
Macklemore's "Same Love" (Macklemore) will jump into the Top 5 this week. Jay-Z f/Justin Timberlake "Holy Grail" (Roc-a-Fella/Roc Nation) will make a huge jump inside the Top 20, and Justin's own "Take Back The Night" debuts inside the Top 25. Big Sean's "Beware" (Def Jam/IDJ) and Mario's "Somebody Else" (RCA) will debut.
