TOP 40
The action was a little more spread out this week at Top 40, but RCA comes out on top with three of the Top 10 including #1 Most Added, Shakira f/Rihanna’s "Can’t Remember To Forget." Miley Cyrus’s "Adore You" and Kid Ink f/Chris Brown’s "Show Me" get in on the action as well. Columbia delivers for Pharrell Williams’ "Happy" two weeks in a row. Republic makes the list out of the box on Enrique Iglesias f/Pitbull’s "I’m A Freak" and WB makes a return appearance with Jason Derulo f/2 Chainz’ "Talk Dirty."
RHYTHMIC
It was a strong week for Jason Derulo’s "Talk Dirty" (Warner Bros.), Chris Brown’s "Loyal" (RCA), and Rick Ross’ "The Devil Is A Lie" (Def Jam/IDJ). Columbia, meanwhile, is celebrating as DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s "Turn Down For What," Beyoncé’s "Drunk In Love" and Pharrell’s "Happy" all grab double-digit adds! "The Worst" by Def Jam/IDJ’s Jhene Aiko and Jay Z’s "Part II" (Roc Nation) also claim a handful of quality stations.
ALTERNATIVE
Columbia’s Foster the People new single "Coming of Age" was the runaway winner this week at Modern Rock radio. In just eight days the record is pretty much on the entire panel. Island/IDJ’s Neon Trees had another really nice week with "Sleeping With a Friend." RCA had a real nice debut week Sleeper Agent’s "Waves." Republic continues to shine with Phantogram’s "Fall In Love." Virgin has another hit on their hands with Bastille as "Bad Blood" enjoys a strong week of adds. Arcade Fire (Merge) also had a strong week of closeouts with "Afterlife." Indie darlings Kongos hit it big this week as KROQ, KYSR, KITS, KXRK, WARQ and others get on "Come With Me Now."
