YOUR RADIO ADD RECAP

The Add Action at Top 40, Rhythm and Alternative

Buddy! What'd you do for Columbus Day? Colonize the New World? We kid. Speaking of enjoyment, we’ve got the add action at three key radio formats for you right here! You’re tickled pink, we know.

TOP 40
Not only does Fergie’s “L.A. Love (La La)” return to the list for a second week, but it snags #1 Most Added in the process. Interscope also places a second entry with Kendrick Lamar’s “i.” Columbia has another big week on One Direction’s “Steal My Girl,” as does Capitol with Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One.” Republic picks up two slots with Ariana Grande f/The Weeknd’s “Love Me Harder” and Jessie J. f/2 Chainz’s “Burnin’ Up” on official impact. Warner Bros. is back for another week with Nico & Vinz’s “In Your Arms,” and Def Jam returns as well, with Alesso f/Tove Lo’s “Heroes.”

RHYTHM

"Love Me Harder," by Republic's Ariana Grande f/The Weeknd, comes in on top this week, and continues its success at the format. A number of records were just behind, including ILoveMakonnen f/Drake’s "Tuesday" (OVO/Warner Bros.), Kendrick Lamar’s "i" (Aftermath/Interscope) and Snootie Wild f/K Camp’s "Made Me" (Epic). Republic's DJ Khaled nabbed a handful of new commitments for "Hold You Down" f/Chris Brown, August Alsina, Future & Jeremih, and RCA’s Kid Ink did the same with “Body Language” f/Usher & Tinashe.

ALTERNATIVE
Columbia’s George Ezra had this week's Most Added record with "Budapest." Otherwise, it was a week of clean-up, as the format gets a new song from RCA’s Foo Fighters on Thursday. Speaking of RCA, they had a nice week of closeouts with Walk the Moon's "Shut Up And Dance." Crush Music’s Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness also saw a number of closeouts for "Cecilia and the Satellite." Other winners included Royal Blood's "Figure It Out"(Black Mammoth/Warner Bros.) and Banks’ "Beggin’ For Thread" (Harvest/Capitol).
