TUESDAY CHART WRAP-UP

What's Up at Mediabase's Top 40, Rhythmic and Alternative Formats
Heyyyyyy, buddy! Let's take a look at the latest action at three key Mediabase radio formats. You'll note multi-format love for Lorde and Justin Timberlake, big action for Jay Z and steady growth for Arcade Fire, among others. Read on, and seriously, we should do drinks soon. Just not this week.

TOP 40
It’s been a while since we haven’t had a superstar release a single at Top 40 radio, so this week was a breather that allowed a lot of records to do some much-needed clean-up. This week, Justin Timberlake’s latest single, “TKO” (RCA) is the Most Added song and quickly gets him on over 100 stations. Enrique Iglesias debuts his new single, “Heart Attack” (Republic), and picks up 35 adds! Other winners this week include Def Jam/IDJ’s Rihanna, Warner Bros.Jason Derulo, RCA’s Britney Spears, Republic’s John Newman, and Red Bull RecordsAWOLNATION. Special kudos to WB for staying with Tegan & Sara’s “Closer,” which is now on 150 stations and gets a big close-out add from KAMP.

RHYTHMIC
Jay Z
’s “Tom Ford” (Roc-a-Fella/Roc Nation) takes Most Added honors this week. Great follow-up weeks from Justin Timberlake’s “TKO” (RCA), Jason Derulo’s “Marry Me” (Warner Bros.), and Rich Homie Quan’s “Type Of Way” (Def Jam/IDJ). Iggy Azalea’s “Change Your Life” (Def Jam/IDJ) and Maejor Ali’s (Believe Partners/Def Jam/IDJ) “Lolly” have solid initial impact weeks. Look for “TKO” Lorde’s “Royals” (Lava/Republic), Chris Brown’s “Love More” (RCA) and August Alsina’s “I Luv This Sh*t” (Def Jam/IDJ) to be among the biggest increases this week.

ALTERNATIVE
There’s no stopping Lorde! Lava/Republic’s kiwi teen prodigy has a fantastic debut week with her second single, “Team,” which picks up over 20 stations. Fresh off their SNL appearance, Merge’s Arcade Fire has another nice week with “Reflektor.” Also making strides: Linkin Park’s “A Light That Never Comes” (Warner Bros.). Monkeywrench/Republic’s Pearl Jam continues to score with “Sirens” which has racked up 40 stations in two weeks. Columbia’s MS MR gets big close-out adds from WRFF and KTBZ on “Hurricane.”
