POP THE BUBLE!

Fantasia Debuts #2, Phoenix, will.i.am. Rob Zombie Bow in Top 10
It’s not even Mother’s Day yet and Reprise crooner Michael Buble is already reaping the benefits, as his new album, To Be Loved, lands at #1 with an impressive 203k.

That more than doubles the amount of fellow newcomer Fantasia, RCA’s American Idol season three winner, whose fourth album, Side Effects of You, enters at #2, with 87k in sales.

Glassnote’s Phoenix is the other Top 5 debut, as Bankrupt! bows at #4, right behind RCA’s Justin Timberlake (#3), giving Nipper’s Edge and Corson two of the Top 3, and three of the Top 10, with P!nk remaining resilient at #8.

Last week’s chart-topper, Island/IDJ’s Fall Out Boy, slips to #5, followed by Warner Bros. Nashville’s Blake Shelton (#6), Republic’s Kid Cudi (#7) and a pair of newcomers in Interscope’s will.i.am (#9) and T-Boy/UMe’s Rob Zombie (#10).

Other Top 50 debuts go to RCA’s Snoop Lion (#17), RCA Nashville’s X Factor winner Tate Stevens (#20) and Rounder’s Steve Martin & Edie Brickell (#25).

Re-entries include Legacy’s George Jones 16 Biggest Hits (#41), ATO’s Alabama Shakes (#42), Columbia’s Depeche Mode (#48), Atlantic’s Hunter Hayes (#49) and Republic’s Les Miserables soundtrack (#50).

The week’s gainers are headed by Columbia’s Adele, who moves #31-26, +11%.

Glassnote’s Mumford & Sons (#24-18, +8%), RCA’s P!nk (+5%) and Capitol Nashville’s Luke Bryan (#47-38, +3%) also showed upward mobility.

This week’s release slate includes Blue Chair/Columbia Nashville’s Kenny Chesney, Savoy’s LL Cool J, MCA Nashville’s Randy Rogers Band, Hollywood’s Iron Man 3 soundtrack, 19/Interscope’s Jessica Sanchez and Island/IDJ’s The Airborne Toxic Event. Capitol Nashville’s Lady Antebellum comes out on May 7, with Columbia’s Natalie Maines, Capitol’s Now 46 and Rod Stewart, RCA Nashville’s Pistol Annies, Atlantic’s Fitz and the Tantrums, Merge’s She & Him, 4AD’s Deerhunter, New West’s Patty Griffin and Epic’s Joe Satriani.
