Two former Vibe-Rater entries make a return to the Sweet 16 this week.

Columbia Records group The Shins return with big adds on the new track, “It’s Only Life,” from their major label debut, Port of Morrow. James Mercer and company see the song taking off at WRNR, while spins are developing at KNRK, WRNR, WWCD, KENZ, among others. The band’s is touring in the U.S. during June, with European and Australian tour dates to follow. Look for them on Austin City Limits festival Oct. 13 after stateside tour beginning Sept. 22 in Seattle. The album is up to 170k in sales. For the full Vibe entry, click here.

Red Bull rock breakthrough act AWOLNATION return to the fray with a third track, “Kill Your Heroes,” from their Megalithic Symphony album, which has already produced a pair of Top 5 Alternative/Top 10 Rock smashes in the platinum “Sail” and “Not Your Fault.” The song boasts adds this week at WWCD, WRFF, KCXX and WZNE. The band will tour this fall with Imagine Dragons starting in September. “Sail” was recently covered by Macy Gray on her album, and featured on CBSThe Good Wife, as well as TV spots for Fox’s House, Nokia’s Lumia and PT’s 4GLTE.
