TOP 40
It was another big week for Republic, landing three of the Most Added, including the #1 Most Added track, Ariana Grande f/Zedd’s “Break Free,” also Enrique Iglesias f/Descemer Bueno, Sean Paul & Gente De Zona’s “Bailando” and Kiezsa’s “Hideaway” for a second week. Def Jam returns with Iggy Azalea f/Rita Ora’s “Black Widow” for a third week, Columbia picks up two slots with Rita Ora’s “I Will Never Let You Down” and Dillon Francis & DJ Snake’s "Get Low" out of the box. Epic makes a return appearance with Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Base,” as does Capitol with The Madden Brothers’ “We Are Done,” and Warner Bros. closes out the action with AJR’s “I’m Ready.”
RHYTHM
RCA's Chris Brown had a tremendous impact week with "New Flame" f/Usher & Rick Ross and nabs 24 adds, good enough for the Most Added this week. "Break Free" by Republic's Ariana Grande f/Zedd was second, with "No Mediocre" by Grand Hustle/Columbia’s T.I. f/Iggy right behind. Epic's Lil Jon grabbed seven adds with "Bend Ova" a week before impact, while Love Dollhouse’s "Can I" (Capitol) and Iggy Azalea f/Rita Ora’s "Black Widow" (Grand Hustle/Def Jam) continue to take on new believers.
ALTERNATIVE
alt-J's new single, "Left Hand Free," was the Most Added song this week at Modern Rock. Republic's buzzing Milky Chance had a great week of close-out adds with "Stolen Chance." We also saw KONGOS’ follow-up single, "I'm Only Joking" (Epic), have a solid day, along with Dirty Heads’ "My Sweet Summer." Other winners included "Take Me to Church" by Columbia’s Hozier and "Waves" by Tender Tender Rush’s Blondfire.THE COUNT: COACHELLA, FROM THE COUCH
