Batten down the hatches, buddy! The forecast calls for more rain here in L.A., and the radio chart preview forecast calls for big ol' smash hits! Woo-hooo! Yeah! Sorry, we're just physically and emotionally drained, so we're totally overcompensating.

TOP 40

We’ll end the year with Big Machine/Republic's Taylor Swift taking over the #1 position on the chart with "Blank Space." Meanwhile, Island/Republic's Nick Jonas will move up inside the Top 10 with "Jealous," as will Ariana Grande & The Weeknd with "Love Me Harder." Columbia's Hozier makes the Top 10 move with "Take Me to Church." Hollywood's Selena Gomez is this week’s Greatest Gainer, as "The Heart Wants What It Wants" sits at #11. Meghan Trainor’s "Lips Are Movin" (Epic) and Mark Ronson f/Bruno Mars’ "Uptown Funk" (RCA) are both set to hit the Top 15 mark, closing out the year with their big spin increases this week. “The Hanging Tree” by James Newton Howard f/Jennifer Lawrence (from Republic's Hunger Games score ST) will make the final chart of the year, along with "Time of Our Lives" by Mr.305/RCA's Pitbull f/Ne-Yo.

RHYTHM

It’s a battle for #1 between Big Sean’s "IDFWU" (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) and I Love Makonnen f/Drake’s "Tuesday" (OVO/Warner Bros.), and it looks like it’ll come down to the wire. RCA is having a great last reporting-week as Kid Ink f/Usher & Tinashe’s "Body Language" goes Top 5, Usher f/Juicy J’s "I Don't Mind" goes Top 10 and Mr. Probz’s "Waves" (Ultra) goes Top 15. Columbia's Beyoncé will have a great week with "7/11," as will Big Machine/Republic's Taylor Swift with "Blank Space."

ALTERNATIVE

Roswell/RCA’s Foo Fighters close the year at #1 with their Sonic Highways hit "Something From Nothing." Speaking of Nipper's acts,, Cage The Elephant increases 150x with "Cigarette Daydreams," moving #6-4, and Bleachers looks to go Top 10 with "Rollercoaster." "Somebody New" by Hollywood’s Joywave will make its chart debut. Oh, and there’s serious anticipation for the new single from Epic's Modest Mouse, "Lampshades on Fire," which arrives Monday.
