“Global Concepts,” the infectious lead single from EDM/Alternative singer-songwriter DeLong’s album Just Movement (streeting now), is getting mad early love at Sirius XM Alt Nation, WEQX, KROQ, KITS, WLUM, WROX, WZNE and other PoMo outlets. The video is spinning heavily at MTV and happening at MTV Hits and mtvU, earning him the network’s “Artist to Watch 2013” designation.
DeLong—who performs as a one-man band with keyboards, loops, guitar and drumkit—began his U.S. tour this week, which will include stops at Popscene SF, SXSW, Ultra Music Festival and Coachella; you can catch him on Letterman on 2/13.
The sixth album by Scottish trio Biffy Clyro, Opposites, bowed at #1 in the U.K. and will be released Stateside on 3/12. Their “Black Chandelier” garnered Most Added honors at PoMo, adorning the ceilings of SXM Alt Nation, WROX, WRFF, KROX, KPNT, KXRX, WWCD and more. They’ll begin a North American swing opening for Muse on 4/9 in Toronto and are slated to hit Coachella on 4/13.
The sweaty clip for "Chandelier" has earned Best Music Video awards from NME and Kerrang! and is closing in on 1 million views. Press love abounds, including NME’s cover (on stands now) and NME and Q Awards for Best Live Band.
