Sire Russian piano prodigy Regina Spektor’s What We Saw from the Cheap Seats, her sixth studio album, breaks the
19/Arista Nashville Idol Country star Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away lands at #5, with a five-week total of 516k.
Vagrant SoCal neo-hippie outfit Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros’ Here bows at #6, while XL/Beggars Icelandic avant-rockers Sigur Ros’ Valtari is the other Top 10 debut at #9.
Capitol/EMI’s Now 42 (#7), Capitol Nashville/EMI’s Luke Bryan (#8, +18%) and Mercury Nashville’s Lionel Richie (#10), the latter the largest-selling album released so far this year, round out the leader board.
