Monte Lipman’s Republic Records leads the way for Team Lucian by scoring a hefty 9.9%, giving the label, thanks to the Les Miserables soundtrack at #7, an almost three percentage point lead on Peter Edge and Tom Corson’s resurgent RCA, sitting at #2 with 7%, a full 2.3 percentage points up on last year. With A$AP Rocky (#9) and P!nk (#13) in the Top 15, and Justin Timberlake coming up on March 19, the Nipper is poised to have some bite in 2013.

The indie sector is showing considerable strength, with three albums in the Top 15, including Glassnote’s Mumford & Sons at #1, leading the way for Daniel Glass’ label to crash the To 10 at #9, with a 2.9%, .2.3 percentage points over 2012. Dualtone’s The Lumineers (#4) and Razor & Tie’s Kidz Bop 23 (#14) are the other two indies in the Top 15, while Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop” is #1 in Digital Track sales, with the Lumineers’ monster hit “Ho Hey” at #4.

Jimmy Iovine and John Janick’s Interscope Geffen A&M finishes third in the round-up at 6.4%, with Steve Barnett’s reconstituted Capitol Music Group at #4 with 6.3, while Atlantic and Rob Stringer’s Columbia are in a virtual dead heat at #5 with 5.8.
