Former Interscope exec Matt LaMotte is joining The Azoff Company as Managing Director of its newly formed independent label, Giant Music.
LaMotte will oversee marketing, commerce and creative operations, working closely with Azoff Company senior leadership and the label's head of A&R, Shawn Holiday.
The veteran music man spent more than 17 years at Interscope, most recently as Head of Pop/Rock Marketing and Artist Development. He helped lead long-term artist campaigns for the likes of Imagine Dragons, Selena Gomez and Lana Del Rey as well as soundtrack initiatives for Rocketman and A Star Is Born.
“There's a bright future ahead for this whole recorded-music thing, and we can't wait to figure it all out—to the greatest possible benefit of the artists themselves," LaMotte said while staring down the officie’s all-you-can-eat buffet of Nate 'N Al's blintzes, stuffed cabbage and knishes.
