OLD DOMINION'S PLATINUM BOAT
10/20/22

On the heels of returning to Nashville’s Whiskey Jam for a special performance on Monday night (10/17), Old Dominion was surprised by the Arista Nashville/Sony Music Nashville team with a plaque to commemorate the RIAA platinum certification of their latest Top 10 hit, “I Was on a Boat That Day.”

Written by the band’s Matthew Ramsey, Brad Tursi, Geoff Sprung, Trevor Rosen and Whit Sellers, alongside Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, the track was the lead single from the four-time CMA Vocal Group of the Year’s fourth full-length project, Time, Tequila and Therapy, which received a nom for Album of the Year at the 2022 CMAs.

The certification also marks their eighth song to reach platinum status, adding to their two previous albums earning platinum and gold certifications, as well as two other gold-certified tracks.

Additionally, the five-piece announced they’ll be hitting the road for their 2023 No Bad Vibes Tour. Earlier this year, they spent the summer on the stadium portion of Kenny Chesney’s Here and Now Tour, and also dropped their Chensey collaboration, “Beer With My Friends,” which is currently climbing the country charts.

Tickets for the 30-date tour go on sale Friday, (10/28) at 10am local time here.
