SHANIA TWAIN INKS TO REPUBLIC NASHVILLE
9/23/22

Country icon Shania Twain has a new label home. The five-time Grammy-winner has inked to Republic Nashville as the label’s debut artist.

In celebration of the new partnership, Twain has also released her new single, “Waking Up Dreaming,” which premiered alongside an Isaac Rentz-directed music video (seen below). The track serves as her first new music since 2017’s #1 album, Now.

“I couldn’t think of a better partner than Republic Nashville. I’m honored and excited to be the label’s first artist and lead the charge of this new and exciting chapter. In this respect, it feels like a new beginning all around, and I’m embracing it wholeheartedly,” said Twain.

“Shania is one of the most influential and impactful artists of this generation. She’s a rare talent whose legacy continues to resonate throughout the world. We feel a tremendous amount of gratitude to support her new body of work, which is spectacular,” added Republic co-founder/CEO Monte Lipman.

The news arrives on the heels of Twain’s career-spanning Netflix documentary Not Just a Girl, which is produced by Mercury Studios and directed by Joss Crowley. The film is also accompanied by a compilation album, Not Just a Girl (The Highlights).
