Singer/songwriter Johnny Clawson has inked a global publishing deal with SMACKSongs.
Prior to releasing his debut single, “Lifetime,” in 2021, the Leesburg, Virginia native quit his corporate finance job in 2018 to pursue a songwriting career in Nashville. Now, he joins a roster that includes multi-Grammy Award winners Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne as well as over 20 staff writers who have written more than 50 number one hits.
“We are beyond thrilled to welcome Johnny to SMACK,” said Sam Sarno, Creative Manager, SMACK. “His natural talent as a songwriter and artist is only enhanced by his passion, infectious energy, and work ethic.”
"It is a dream come true to be a part of such an exciting group of creatives,” added Clawson. “I feel incredibly fortunate for this opportunity and grateful that they have taken this leap of faith with me."
Seen above hoping they could smack us are (l-r) Sarno, Clawson and Lee Krabel.
