UTA ADDS THREE AGENTS
3/18/22

UTA is expanding its Music division with the hiring of Agents Mary Allen, Aaron Arkin and Vatana Shaw. Allen is appointed a Music Agent based in Nashville, while Arkin becomes a Music Crossover Agent based in L.A. and Shaw joins as a Music Brand Partnerships Agent in L.A.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mary, Aaron and Vatana to the UTA team,” said David Zedeck, Partner/Co-Head of Global Music. “Their combined expertise in touring, development of music-driven content and brand partnerships will be integral as we continue to expand the scope and resources of our Music department.”

With an expertise in electronic music, Allen spent six years building her career as a booking agent at Madison House in Boulder, CO before working as a founding agent at Mint Talent Group. Her roster includes CloZee, The Polish Ambassador, The Funk Hunters, Apashe, Tripp St., MEMBA, Rome in Silver, NotLö, VEIL and more.

Arkin, who started his career at UTA as an assistant, spent the last five years at Complex Networks, where he drove the development and production of multiple series and documentaries on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, TruTV and Meta. He also led the creative development of first-of-their-kind premium series for Twitch, Snap Originals and Spotify.

Having been at the epicenter of new tech and brand development with artists throughout her career, Shaw will now lead artist brand strategy and music brand partnerships in the metaverse/Web 3 alongside the Digital Assets team. She joins UTA from Q&A and was previously the founder/leader of music management company Earthtones.
