RECORDS NASHVILLE ADDS TWO
12/14/21

RECORDS Nashville has named Josh Easler as EVP of Promotion and Commercial Strategy and Joe Fisher as EVP of the label. They will both report to Barry Weiss, Co-founder and Partner, RECORDS, LLC.

Based in Nashville, Easler will oversee all radio promo and commercial strategy, including all DSPs and commercial platforms. Previously VP of Promo at Arista Nashville, he served as an RCA regional in 2006 and was promoted to National Director of Promotion in 2011 before moving to Arista in 2016.

In the last two years, Easler helped Matt Stell—who is now solely a RECORDS Nashville artist—earn two #1 country radio hits with “Prayed for You” and “Everywhere But On” via RECORDS Nashville/Arista Nashville.

Meanwhile, Fisher will oversee the signing, developing and cultivating of new talent for RECORDS Nashville. He joins from Universal Nashville, where he rose to VP of A&R under Luke Lewis and recently worked with Justin Timberlake on his Villa 40 Nashville label venture. Fisher also founded Boom, a pubco with Keith Urban and Ross Copperman in 2017.

“We are so excited to be leveling up and raising the game with our efforts in Nashville and country music. I can’t think of two better executives to take us forward and achieve this task than Josh Easler and Joe Fisher,” said Weiss.

“Barry has assembled one of the most dynamic teams in the business and an incredible roster of new talent,” shared Easler.

Echoing Easler, Fisher added, “He’s a true music man and one of the industry’s most visionary executives. The only thing more impressive than his track record is his passion for music. I’m immensely honored to join the RECORDS team and kick off this new chapter.”
