The Academy of Country Music has announced that submissions for the 57th ACM Awards are now open through 11/30.
The Board of Directors have also revealed changes and additions within the Studio Recording Awards and Radio Awards categories.
The Guitar Player of the Year category has been split into two awards, Acoustic Guitar Player of the Year and Electric Guitar Player of the Year, while the previously awarded Steel Guitar Player of the Year will now be considered within the existing Specialty Instrument(s) Player of the Year Award category.
For the Radio Awards, the National On-Air Personality of the Year category has also been split to honor both a National Weekly On-Air Personality of the Year and a National Daily Personality of the Year.
Additionally, voting security protocols have been updated for the Awards. A new double-authentication process has been implemented through a mobile number, rather than through an email address, for added safety and protection for voting members.
The submissions eligibility period for the ACMs is 1/1 through 11/15.
