RMG & SMP INK NICK DONLEY
9/9/21

Relative Music Group, in partnership with Sony Music Publishing, has inked country songwriter Nick Donley to a global publishing deal.

Donley quickly made a name for himself in Nashville writing hits like Florida Georgia Line’s #1 hit “Sittin’ Pretty,” HARDY’s “Unapologetically Country” and “4x4,” Matt Stell’s “That Ain’t Me No More,” Chevel Shepherd “Mama Got The Chair” and more.

Relative Music is a small family with a big vision and I'm grateful to call it my songwriting home. I couldn't be more excited to work with this driven creative tight-knit group of people,” said Donley.

“We've been wanting to work with Nick for quite a while now, and I am so excited it finally happened,” added RMG’s Founer, Dennis Matkosky. “We have an amazing team between Relative and our Sony Family and we can't wait to get to work.”

“I'm so excited to start working with Nick Donley,” shared RMG’s Partner HARDY. “Nick is a hardworking, positive guy with a ‘go get it’ attitude, which is exactly what we need here at Relative. Nick is also one of the first people I ever met in this town, and after 11 years, I'm proud to see such a full circle moment come together. Welcome to the family, Nick.”

An Ohio native, Donley first started writing songs in college and began his career writing commercials for radio before he moved to Nashville in 2006 to pursue professional songwriting. Since then, he’s written for artists including HARDY, Stell, Allie Colleen and Adam Hambrick, among others.
