Last week, the Country Music Association expanded relief efforts through the Music Industry COVID Support (MICS) initiative. By partnering with nonprofit organizations, MICS is bringing additional resources and services to those in need.
MICS has aligned with Musically Fed, Touring Professionals Relief Kitchen, Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s The Store, Porter’s Call, LEVL Up Fest and the Ryman Auditorium, among others, to bring assistance to those affected by the pandemic. Resources are not limited to CMA members.
Musically Fed continues to host drive-through events where cars will be able to receive food supplies, while Touring Professionals Relief Kitchen has joined with the LEE Initiative to serve meals in L.A., Chicago, Nashville and N.Y.
Paisley’s The Store, in partnership with Belmont University, operates as a free grocery store allowing people to shop for their basic needs and has provided 1m+ meals to the Nashville community. Porter’s Call also offers free counsel, support and encouragement to full-time recording-artists.
The LEVL Up Fest will be supporting live events and the entertainment community through a livestream on 12/16 at 5:30 pm PT/8:30pm ET via No Cap Shows.
On 1/7 at 1pm CT, LBMC's Shareholders, CPA’s Jeff Talley and Chad Milom will also be hosting an informative webinar to discuss topics like PPC Loans and forgiveness for the self-employed, unemployment compensation, Economic Impact Payments for Individuals and more.
Additionally, MICS continues to post employment opportunities available throughout the music industry on their site. People can view opportunities or submit their own job openings here.
