WCM WINS BIG AT ASCAP AND BMI COUNTRY AWARDS
11/9/20

Warner Chappell Music is celebrating a double victory after being named Publisher of the Year at both the BMI and ASCAP Country Awards.

This year marks the eight consecutive year the WCM team has taken home the top honor at the ASCAP Awards and the third consecutive year at the BMI Awards.

Old Dominion was presented with ASCAP’s Song of the Year honor for “One Man Band,” which was co-written by band member and WCM tunesmith Matthew Ramsey, while Morgan Wallen’s Ben Burgess-penned hit, “Whiskey Glasses,” took home the honor at the BMI Awards, earning Burgess his first-ever BMI win.

Other first-time winners during the country-music celebrations included breakout writers like Brock Berryhill, Hunter Phelps, Lonnie Fowler and Randy Montana.
