Are your clients using TikTok?
Yes, we’re running campaigns on most every artist. We’re spending countless hours learning the ropes. I can’t take credit for BRELAND’s emergence on TikTok, because I signed him [with Wassim Slaiby’s SAL&CO in a co-management deal] after “My Truck” started to really go crazy. But BRELAND can take credit for anything else I ever succeed with on TikTok, because he was the catalyst for my complete obsession with this powerful social application.
With those fans who want physical, how do you bridge the gap?
Creative vinyl packaging like our Whiskey Myers team, led by Eddie Kloesel, launched and sold tens of thousands of copies of the band’s catalog in the last year. Vinyl will only get bigger and bigger.
What’s one thing you hope for the industry?
Keep exploring the genre. Country music is not any one thing, and with artists like Sam Hunt, BRELAND, Tyler Childers, Ruston Kelly, Luke Combs, Maren Morris and Keith Urban, we will continue to see the faces of the genre change for the positive.
