What’s the biggest challenge ahead?
The uncertainty. We as a business can adapt. Just what are we adapting to and when are huge questions. Six months, 12 months doesn’t seem like a long time when you say it real fast, but in our business, it’s a very long time.

How are you coping without live music?
Not very well. I think forget how important the entire live experience is to our being. We all tend to remember our first and last, but all the shows in the middle make us whole.

For a manager, it’s such a release. To see your act onstage. having that emotional connection with a huge crowd—and they’ve poured their heart and we soul into those 90 minutes. I’ve never watched so much YouTube as I have in the last three months, gone back and watched my favorites in concert. Tina Turner live in France—fuck me!

What’s one thing you hope for the industry?
I hope we come back stronger and smarter. Some things will never be the same; that’s okay; we will find another way. But a world without live music would be a very lonely place.
