BMLG’S MUSIC-INSPIRED WING
2/24/20

Big Machine Label Group President/CEO Scott Borchetta along with wife and BMLG SVP, Creative Sandi Spika Borchetta have partnered with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt for the Big Machine Neighborhood, a new music-inspired Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Sheryl Crow, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Carly Pearce, Children’s Hospital leaders and more gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the wing, which will officially open in March.

As part of a nearly three-year, $150m expansion, the new 40k-square-foot 11th floor will be occupied by a 23-bed NICU as well as 15 acute care beds and was made possible with resources from the Borchettas and BMLG. “We wanted to do something for Nashville specifically, because this city has given so much to us. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to be part of the community and give back,” said Borchetta.

Spika Borchetta adds, “The real work comes from the nurses, the doctors and the brave parents. Their work will start really soon, so we salute them and we welcome them to the Big Machine Neighborhood. Music has value, music connects, and music definitely heals.”
