Following the announcement that BMG U.S. President would be exiting the company, Jon Loba kept swinging and BBR didn’t miss a step. Jason Aldean, Chase Rice and Dustin Lynch had a big year on the streaming side (with almost a billion streams combined). Lynch and Aldean both scored #1s at radio; Rice spent two weeks in May at the top spot with “Eyes on You.” That same month, Runaway June’s “Buy My Own Drinks” became the first Country radio Top 20 by a female band in 14 years, and Blanco Brown’s viral “The Git Up” hit #1 on both the Global and U.S. Viral charts at Spotify.

Zac Brown Band signed a global licensing agreement with BMG, with a release due this summer, and—hot on the heels of “Old Town Road”—Billy Ray Cyrus’ new studio album, The SnakeDoctor Circus, will arrive later in the year.
