Biz veteran Peter Strickland (L) has launched Marathon Talent Agency. Upon opening its doors, the former Warner Music Nashville CMO has announced his first management signing, artist Mark Mackay (R), who's booked by WME.
Mackay, who'll make his Nashville debut at The Ryman on 7/18 supporting Ted Nugent, played more than 200 gigs last year—notably opening for the likes of Old Dominion, Eli Young Band and Cole Swindell.
“This is a natural progression in my career," shared Strickland. "And when I met Mark Mackay and saw how talented he was and his live performances, I couldn’t wait to work with him and guide his career.”
Rumors that he's in the process of changing his name to "Peter the Cable Guy" could not be confirmed at press time.
