Mike Dungan, Cindy Mabe and team had a killer year with Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, Sam Hunt and Dierks Bentley, among others, and their signing of Carrie Underwood bore major fruit with hits “The Champion” and her feature on Urban’s “The Fighter.” Uni owned the ACMs and CMAs thanks to Stapleton, Brothers Osborne, Lauren Alaina, Hunt, Keith and Carrie, Little Big Town and Pardi. Meanwhile, young breakout Jordan Davis earned a gold single, and the label inked hot prospect Kassi Ashton in a JV with John Janick’s Interscope. Ashton was named part of CMT’s Next Women Class of 2018. The formidable Mabe was honored with the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Louise Scruggs Award.
