At a preview event for the Blue Kentucky Girl exhibit dedicated to country giant Loretta Lynn, the following people prepared to come home a-drinkin' with lovin' on their minds: Peggy Lynn, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Kyle Young, Margo Price, Brandy Clark, Patsy Lynn Russell and Kacey Musgraves. Our own Holly Gleason takes it from here.
Loretta Lynn was iconic long before Jack White produced made her millennially hip with the Grammy-winning Van Lear Rose. A feminist’s feminist with a plain-spoken take on marital issues, birth control and making your own destiny, the pride of Butcher Holler, Kentucky’s daughter Patsy and the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Kyle Young were on hand to welcome VIPs for a preview event for “Blue Kentucky Girl.”
