THE ACM HONORS ARE ALL LINED UP
8/9/17

The 11th Annual ACM Honors lineup has been announced, and it features a bevy of Nashville's big names. Tickets went on sale this morning for the ceremony, which will take place at the Ryman Auditorium in August, but won't air until 9/15 (on CBS from 9-11pm ET/PT). Fans can expect to see performances from the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, Vince Gill, Toby Keith, Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley, Hilary Scott, Thomas Rhett and George Strait.

The event will recognize off-camera category champions from the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards and other special honorees like the Studio Recording Award winners, as well as the Songwriter of the Year. This year's recipients include Ballerini (Gene Weed Milestone Award), Keith (Poet's Award), Reba McEntire and Bob Kingsley, who will both receive the Mae Boren Axton Service Award. Additional recipients include Dolly Parton (Gary Haber Lifting Lives Award), George Strait (Cliffie Stone Icon Award) and Nashville (Tex Ritter Film Award), while a posthumous Poet Award will go to Shel Silverstein

The Academy of Country Music will present trophies to previously announced Special Award recipients Eric Church (Merle Haggard Spirit Award) and Willie Nelson (Poet Award) at a later date.

Also at a later date, we at HITS plan to win an award for the largest amount of cheese puffs consumed in one sitting.
