WHY WE’RE HOOKED: Well, for starters, this man certainly knows how to craft a hook. As a Grammy-nominated songwriter, Ryan Hurd has co-penned songs cut by Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Maren Morris and Lady Antebellum, notably co-penning the latter’s newest single, “You Look Good.” Now he’s branched out on his own, becoming a solo performing artist whose four-track debut EP has earned a collective 40m streams to date. His premier single, “Love in a Bar,” officially impacted Country radio 6/12, with 32 stations on-board. This past year, Hurd was tapped to join Chase Rice, Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett on their respective headlining tours. This summer, he’s hitting the road with Florida Georgia Line for The Smooth Tour 2017, and in the fall he’ll link back up with Maren Morris for the European leg of her Hero Tour.
