Miranda Lambert is getting on the other side of the camera, serving as Executive Music Producer on Lionsgate’s Something In the Water. Music video filmmaker Trey Fanjoy directs the film, which stars online comedy star Grace Helbig.
Lambert’s job is to provide musical curation services and provide an original song for the comedy, which is focused on a bass fishing competition.
It’s the first feature for Fanjoy, who has collaborated with Lambert on multiple videos, among them “Kerosene, “We Should be Friends,” “Automatic” and “Something Bad.” He has also directed multiple videos for Taylor Swift and Reba McEntire.
Ken Treusch is producing for Bleecker Street Entertainment alongside Fanjoy and Helbig. Aquila/Wood is casting the film and production will take place in Nashville later this year.
