Brett James’ Nashville music publisher Cornman Music is opening a management division, CornMGMT. Former Cornman Music Creative Director Shea Fowler (right) will run the unit, and Rakiyah Marshall (below left) will replace Fowler as Creative Director.
Fowler’s first client is Caitlyn Smith who was recently announced as one of Monument Records’ flagship artists at the label helmed by Jason Owen and Shane McAnally.
Fowler has served as Creative Director at Cornman Music since 2012. She was previously an A&R Coordinator at Big Machine Label Group. Marshall was most recently part of the Republic Records radio promotion team and had previously spent two years in marketing at Verve Label Group.
Cornman Music, a co-venture with Warner/Chappell, has a roster that includes Kip Moore, Justin Weaver, Steven Lee Olsen, Josh Mirenda, Nick Brophy and Josh Miller.
