In partnership with Edison Research, Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is set to present new research on the continued advancement of mobile music options available to listeners.
Based on surveys and interviews conducted with 1,500 participants, mobile expert Tim Hayden will be joined by Edison’s Larry Rosin, Tom Webster, and Megan Lazovick in presenting “The Mobilization of Country Radio” on 2/23. With their research they will explore how streaming behaviors and smartphone applications are disrupting the effect radio has on a traditionally loyal Country audience.
The panel will delve into the diversity of radio usage, streaming behaviors, and online music consumption of today’s Country music fans. “Country radio is more than just the music played, understanding and applying that knowledge of how listeners incorporate radio on-the-go, will substantially ease the disconnect between traditional radio and the advancement of mobile listening, giving programmers an advantage in how to engage their audiences going forward.”
