CMA CELEBRATES DOLLY

During her Kimmel appearance, it was announced that country megastar and RCA Nashville artist Dolly Parton will be honored with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 50th annual CMA Awards, which are set to air 11/2 at 8pm ET on ABC.

For perspective, previous recipients of this award, which recognizes exceptional talent, as well prominence, ingenuity and philanthropic efforts, include Nelson himself, Kenny Rogers and Johnny Cash.

“Dolly epitomizes the very definition of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award,” said CMA CEO Sarah Trahern. “She is a trailblazer who continues to enchant and captivate fans around the world, from her latest No. 1 album, to her sold-out tour, and numerous television projects. She is a treasure and deserving of this industry acclaim for her undeniable contributions to the success of Country Music, today.”
