RCA Nashville's Jake Owen officially topped the Country radio chart for a sixth time when "American Country Love Song" went #1 this week.
The gold-selling song is the lead single from Owen's fifth studio album, American Love, which was recently certified gold as well.
“Jake is back in the position where he belongs, #1,” shared Sony Music Nashville EVP Promotion & Artist Development Steve Hodges. “On the heels of his #1 album debut, it’s very fitting that this single lands the top airplay spot as well. Kudos to [RCA Nashville SVP Promotion] Keith Gale and his RCA Nashville team, and to county radio for their overwhelming support.”
Fans can catch Owen perform on Kimmel's outdoor stage on 9/21. Since the new HITS offices are right next door, we definitely plan on being there... if we can make it past security (and we usually can't).
