UMG Nashville has tapped Mike Harris as COO, reporting jointly to Chairman/CEO Mike Dungan and Prexy Cindy Mabe and UMG EVP/CFO Boyd Muir.
Harris previously served as EVP/GM for Caroline, Capitol Music Group's indie division. During his tenure there, Caroline hit a historic peak in marketshare and scored four #1 debuts in 2015 (not to mention four Grammys and six noms).
"I have known and worked with Mike Harris for more than 15 years," Dungan declared. "He is a consummate professional and the perfect fit for UMG Nashville and the Nashville music community. I am honored and proud to introduce him as our new COO. But first I've asked him to do this row of Fireball shots and then go outside and kill something with a bow."
