MORRIS: SHE CAN BE
YOUR HERO, BUDDY
3/14/16

Following remarkable success with her self-titled EP and breakout single "My Church," Columbia Nashville's Maren Morris has announced that her debut full-length, Hero, will arrive 6/3.

Four out of the five songs from the Maren Morris EP will be on the 11-song LP, including the single, fan favorite "'80s Mercedes" and "I Wish I Was," which Morris claims inspired her to name her new record Hero. “‘I Wish I Was’ is the most autobiographical song on this record and I admittedly was not the hero in that story, but I am the hero in mine. I've come such a long way from who I was in Texas, who I am as a writer, who I am as a woman today. I think the message of this record is self acceptance and awareness, and that to me is heroic."

"My Church" is currently #12 at Country radio, while #2 on iTunes' country chart and #19 overall.

Morris is performing at SXSW this week; see our fest planner for details. She'll also be joining Keith Urban on the road for his RipCORD World Tour 2016 on 3/3 in Kansas City and through summer and fall.
