Pearl's Garth Brooks is the #1 selling artist in recorded U.S. history with approximately 71m albums sold. And now, he's become the first country artist to earn SoundExchange's Digital Radio Award, which acknowledges his 1b+ performances on more than 2,500 digital radio services.
"Reaching one billion performances is a rarified accomplishment, and it's not surprising that Garth Brooks is among the first artists to be recognized with the SoundExchange Digital Radio Award for achieving this significant milestone," announced President/CEO Michael Huppe.
Brooks—nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the upcoming ACM Awards—is currently on a world tour, after taking a 14-year hiatus from the road. See a full list of dates here.
