SAM SEES DOUBLE
2/1/16

2016 is proving to be a red-hot year for MCA Nashville's Sam Hunt, whose debut studio album Montevallo just earned its double-platinum certification. Hunt—already up for Best New Artist and Best Country Album at the Grammys—just earned Album and Single of the Year and nominations from the ACM Awards, which airs 4/3.

He's also set to perform at the Grammys on 2/15, as well as the ACM Party for a Cause festival, which leads into the April awards show.

The album spawned four platinum-selling, smash singles: "Break Up in a Small Town," "House Party," "Leave the Night On" and "Take Your Time"; the latter is currently inching towards double-platinum status.

It's worth noting that all of those songs topped the Country radio chart, except for "Break Up in a Small Town," which peaked at #2.

It's also worth noting that all we've done in 2016 so far is remember to brush our teeth on a semi-regular basis.
