Kane Brown, an unsigned Country newcomer, is causing quite a buzz around the 6-1-5, garnering sudden interest from Big Machine, Warner Nashville and Universal.
His cover video of George Strait's "Check Yes or No," uploaded to Facebook on 9/30, went viral, earning north of 7m views. His name quickly became the #1 search on iTunes (above One Direction, Luke Bryan, Ed Sheeran and "Hotline Bling"). His EP, Closer, then shot to #4 on iTunes' country albums chart and #19 overall; it's currently #3 at country and #12 overall.
Inspired by the overwhelming response, Brown wrote a new single, "Use to Love You Sober," which he just uploaded a tease of; consequently, the clip snagged 1m views in under three hours.
